It always seems to sound too good to be true when you are looking for good foods that are also healthy, with many brands promising just that. It seems as if you cannot have both things in one meal but this is not necessarily true. However it is still true that you have to eat fewer calories than you burn if you're just looking to lose weight.

Some of the foods that may work for you and taste good while doing so are as follows:

  • Beans

Not very costly, filling, and used in many different ways, beans are a great source of protein and can help you feel more full which could stop you from feeling like eating more.

  • Soup

If you start a meal with a cup of soup, you may end up eating less during your actual meal. It does not matter if your soup has chunks or food or is just broth as long as its around 100 to 150 calories a serving.

  • Dark Chocolate

Everyone loves to enjoy some chocolate from time to time but is a notorious candy addiction. Dark Chocolate however if you eat a small amount before a meal, a study shows that people who ate a square or two of ark chocolate over milk chocolate ate 15% less pizza than those who eat milk chocolate.

  • Pureed Vegetables

Veggies are an obvious choice that you see in every diet, but more specifically try and add amounts of vegetables to your cheat foods like pureed cauliflower or zucchini to mac and cheese for example. They do not overwhelm with flavor and help keep calories down.

  • Eggs and Sausage

A breakfast like this is rich in protein and can help you resist snacks as your day goes on. The effect of having a high-protein breakfast can last until the evening to help you much less.

  • Nuts

If you are going to have a snack, nuts are a great small snack that arent a lot of calories and are a favorite around the world for their taste.

  • Apples

The classic an apple a day keeps the doctor away. An apple can help give you a natural source of fiber but it helps if its an actual crunchy apple over apple juice or sauce as it can help blunt your appetite in ways that the other variants cannot.
